After 22 years of s/w in child protection, have had six years experience as a practice teacher in social work. 5 of the six students under 25. Very little 'life' experience. all quite bright, but naive. Also have experience of unsatisfactory child protection procedure within a local authority 'response' team. Have views on the kind of provisision that should be available, if neccessary via the courts, in order to safeguard children in hard to reach situations. Would be only too happy to share these!
