Social workers and social work students need to maintain their registration with the GSCC in several ways; qualifi ed social workers need to renew their registration every three years, complete post registration training and learning (PRTL), pay their annual registration fee, and promptly advise the GSCC of any changes of circumstance. Social work students are also required to pay their annual fee, and advise GSCC of any changes in their circumstances.
MyGSCC is a new and interactive service that enables GSCC registrants to take control of updating their records with us. It is a secure system – every user is issued with unique login details so they can be assured that nobody else will have access to their personal information. Any changes or payments made are sent and processed via an encrypted secure system directly to our servers.
By using this system, registrants can update any changes to their personal details, pay annual fees online, and (for registered social workers) record post-registration training and learning (PRTL). The service has been developed to make it quicker andeasier for registrants to maintain their registration, and help us keep in touch. It is very important that the register is kept up to date to protect the users of social care services.
When you receive your next annual payment reminder letter it will include an invitation to use MyGSCC. If you would like to use MyGSCC before this point, email us at online.queries@gscc.org.uk, quoting your SCR number, your name and date of birth, and we will email you a link to our online service and an access code to create an account. For security purposes, we recommend that you do not use an email address that you share with other people.
